Three hours walking inside Imperial Rome until the famous Colosseum.
It had the name of Flavian Amphitheater at first because it was created by three emperors of that family.
Built in 72 A.D., completed eight years later, and could seat for 70,000 people.
The building has received its relatively common nickname "Colosseum" from a colossus – 35-meter statue of Emperor Nero.
For centuries now it is immortalized as a site for fierce and brutal gladiator combats with wild beasts and duels between gladiators, made even more famous in the film 'Gladiator.' The tour starts from the meeting point heading straight to the glorious Colosseum; next, close by is the Roman Forum which was basically—the real political, commercial, social, and religious center of ancient Rome in both times of Monarchical as well as Republican periods.
At the center of the Forum, after two thousand years, one may walk on the first cobbles of ‘Via Sacra’ (Sacred Way) which goes to Capitol Hill and see old basilicas, triumphal arches, columns of honor and historic markets.
When they get to ‘Piazza Venezia’, they can look at the big building that was opened in 1911 for Victor Emmanuel II as King of Italy.
