Your experience

Civitavecchia Port Disembark from the ship to meet your private driver who will take you to the top sites in Rome: the Vatican Museums, Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill.

1 hour • Admission Ticket Free Vatican Museums Your private driver brings you to the doors of the Vatican Museums where a guide awaits your arrival.

A giant complex filled with some of the most beautiful treasures in all of world art history sets these among one of the most valuable collections around.

The holdings include priceless Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Etruscan antiquities.

There is also an excellent collection of paintings available from various periods between the twelfth and nineteenth centuries; works by Raphael, Caravaggio, and Leonardo da Vinci can be found here.

Several splendidly frescoed rooms are within the Museums as well: 3 hours • Please note that starting from 28 April, access to Sistine Chapel will be closed until a new Pope has been elected.

The Vatican Museums will keep to their normal hours of operation.

You have a ticket that gives you access to the Colosseum.

After lunch, get private transfer to the colossal building as it was originally called the Flavian Amphitheatre.

With nearly 2,000 years of history, see what life was like during the Roman Empire! At its height, over 50,000 people could be seated inside the Colosseum watching exotic animals and executions of prisoners, reenactments of battles; and gladiatorial contests would take place here.Duration of visit is 2 hours.Admission included.

After having visited the Colosseum, tourists often go to the Roman Forum.

"Ruins" do not describe it accurately since it was for centuries the core of ancient Rome in a beautiful precinct joined by temples, basilicas, and animated public spaces.

The Forum began as a swampy cemetery but took shape first in the 7th century BC before developing into the social, political, and commercial center of the Roman Empire.

The monuments that can be seen today include the Arch of Septimius Severus, the Curia, and some parts of temples- mainly some columns belonging to that of Saturn- as well as another arch (that of Titus).

Palatine Hill is the most central of all seven hills, rising forty meters above ground level at the Roman Forum.

Inside Palatine Hill, there are many traces of huge constructions left for the nobles in ancient Roman society.

For catching a great view of Rome and understanding its history, there is no place like the Palatine! <15 mins • Admission Ticket Included> Civitavecchia Port Your private driver will make sure you get back to the port in time for boarding your ship.
