At the threshold of Vatican Museums, you are welcomed by your guide in an Italian coffee bar. Take a moment to break the ice and exchange words before embarking on the journey. Discover the Vatican as a sovereign state and unravel the history of Ancient Rome on this very ground. A tourist radio will be handed to you upon museum entry; its purpose is to ensure that even when wandering off to capture photographic memories, you can still catch every word spoken by your guide. Make sure not to miss the first courtyard's vantage point view towards St. Peter's Basilica— it sets the tone for what lies ahead in your exploration within these illustrious walls. Details of the construction and dome by Michelangelo will be revealed. The Vatican Gardens might catch your eye as we make our way through the museum, passing ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman statues in intricate detail from an inner courtyard— where you'll also learn about the legendary Sistine Chapel with oversized photographs sent from the Vatican at each major stop inside this vast collection.
