Your experience

Take a day trip from Florence to Rome on fast train.

See the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Navona Piazza.

Enjoy a typical Italian lunch then visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.

Begin at the Spanish Steps and Trinità dei Monti; here, at the famous Spanish Steps, which link Piazza di Spagna to Trinità dei Monti Church, the latter boasts twin towers above it and a façade that allows creamy travertine stone to shine.

Stunning views of Rome are available from Trinità dei Monti; this draws also like retreat amid all the life of the city.

Go to the Trevi Fountain, a fine example of Baroque art, showing Neptune with Tritons and different sea animals.

As per habit, throwing a coin over your shoulder into the fountain is said to make sure you come back to Rome.

Then go to "Piazza della Rotonda", where you can see the great Pantheon, a wonderful achievement of skills and faith.

This old temple, for all gods, shows Roman greatness.

Its big roof, with a middle hole, lights up the inside with heavenly light.

Walk along the small, charming streets that go through hidden courtyards until you reach Piazza Navona, the Bernini masterpiece.

This lively square was once known by the name of Stadium of Domitian where chariot races and other athletic contests took place; now it is graced by one of Bernini's great fountains, Four Rivers, giving life and vitality to the center area with allegorical figures representing four important rivers from different continents.

The square is full of life with artists and performers on the street; enjoy a typical Italian lunch in one of the nearby places.

After lunch head over to Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel to see Michelangelo's famous works.

As you walk along many corridors admire also the largest private art collection in the world that was originally meant just for one man—the Pope! Go through Raphael’s Rooms, four connected chambers decorated with works by Raphael and his students, getting you to the beautiful Sistine Chapel, known as the Pope’s Holy Chapel.

Here, you will see some of the most holy places in the Vatican, including Michelangelo's great frescoes, “The Creation of the World” and “The Last Judgment,” next to other fine works by famous artists like Perugino, Botticelli, and Ghirlandaio.

At the end of this visit, you will be taken to the train station for your trip back to Florence.
