Full description

Uncover the treasures that Rome holds beyond its iconic sites: join a guided exploration of the Colosseum and Vatican Museums. Your journey begins at the bustling square outside the Santi Cosma and Damiano Basilica where history comes to life with each step you take through Rome's storied streets. A short drive later finds you standing before the majestic Colosseum— an architectural marvel that stood witness to gladiatorial combat plus other spectacles now lost in time. The Vatican awaits you this afternoon at 3 PM, be sure not to miss it as within its walls lie countless works of art waiting to be discovered during your visit with guidance from an expert on all things artistic (and historical too). As you enter the sacred space— the Sistine Chapel— you are met with Michelangelo's breathtaking frescoes in their full splendor. End your path in a continuous way thanks to a reserved passage that allows you to skip the line from the Sistine Chapel directly into St. Peter's Basilica, where you can witness history come alive before you through both story and structure of this most famous cathedral in all the world.
