Full description

Meet at the Colosseo Metro Station. Go to the Colosseum and watch gladiatorial fights that happened for hundreds of years inside those walls from an outside view while listening to stories told by your guide. North from the Colosseum you will see landmarks like Vittorio Emanuele II Monument (built in honor of first King of unified Italy), Roman Forum, Palatine Hill — take a break here, purchase some traditional Italian cream ice. Keep moving through Rome: Piazza Novana, The Pantheon, St Maria Sopra Minerva Basilica (home to Michelangelo's sculpture), Palazzo Cipolla, Trevi Fountain are all waiting for you on this amazing journey! Capture moments as you walk by. Pause and be amazed at the Spanish Steps; you can also spot the famous Medici Villa from a distance. After crossing the Tiber River (enjoying the views along the way), keep a lookout for Sant’Angelo Bridge, Vittorio Emanuele II Bridge, and not to forget the massive Castel Sant’Angelo. You should head towards Via di Porta Cavalleggeri for St. Peter’s Basilica guided tour. At this point your new guide awaits you and ushers you into an express tour of St. Peter’s Basilica; while on transit listen about Vatican City introduced by your guide as you pass through St. Peter’s Square — which is home to the smallest country in the world, Vatican City!
