Know before you go
The dome top can only be reached on foot; the elevator doesn’t stop anywhere but on the ground level. So, to climb all those steps, you'd better not be seven years old or seventy-five. Also, you would suffer from claustrophobia or vertigo in any case.
In case you want to go to the Vatican, you should also keep in mind that there are certain rules that you should adhere to. It does not suffice just by coming here and sightseeing. The initial information that you will inevitably receive from the Vatican will be after arriving at St. Peter’s Square; it will state, without any compromise or modification, that for both men and women low-cut shirts, sleeveless tops, or shorts are completely forbidden in this place, as long as their knees and shoulders are not covered. It is also advised not to visit this place during pregnancy or for people who have heart or spinal cord problems as it may aggravate their situation.
I would not suggest people from all three groups go for a tour because if their situation changes after they start trekking, there is no help to be given on the trail. Of course, this does not mean that you will experience problems during your stay; unfortunately, I do not have access to information in this article.
