Full description

The Vatican journey begins with a visit to St. Peter's Basilica and the Dome. The initial action involves climbing up the dome — to see closely the interior mosaics while your audio guide narrates the church's history. Upon descending from the dome, pause at Michelangelo's Pietà, Bernini's Baldacchino, and the burial site of St. Peter (alongside other popes). Use a digital map with 27 distinct listening points marked on it for proper guidance through these significant highlights. This is just the start of your exploration into Vatican City. Take care to not overlook any historical importance, such as the one portrayed by Michelangelo's La Pietà or even remarkable floorings below! Head into Vatican Museums at precisely noon where you will walk through vast corridors that lead you to several notable sights including but not limited to: - The grand Vatican Courtyard - Pio-Clementino Museum - Gallery of the Candelabra. Discover the vast treasures of Vatican within these halls that hold invaluable artifacts from centuries ago. Let us guide you through some of the most impressive places: first, the Raphael Rooms, named after the famous High Renaissance artist Raphael and known for his exquisite frescoes including The School of Athens. As you move from the Borgia Apartments to the Hall of Tapestries (where optical illusions will surely amuse you) end your journey at the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo's Last Judgement. Your visit will be well taken care of by Touristation staff— ensuring it is both seamless and rewarding in every way possible. St. Peter's Basilica is indeed a church, meaning entry is free; nevertheless, it should be noted that there could be an extended wait— even up to an hour and a half — at certain peak periods.
