From January 12 to March 31, the Vatican Museums will carry out specialized conservation work on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel.

Throughout that period, scaffolding will cover the entire wall on which the Last Judgment is painted.

Although the Sistine Chapel will stay open and fully accessible, visitors will not be able to see this particular artwork while the restoration is under way.
