See the famous Sistine Chapel and walk into St.

Peter's Basilica, the largest church in all of Catholic Christendom built over the tomb of the very first pope in history and standing right next to St.

After lunch, visit the Basilica of St.

Peter in Chains to see Michelangelo's famed statue of "Moses," a piece intended for the Pope's Julius II funerary monument.

Then step out of history but into the glow and glamor of the Roman Empire with a visit to the Colosseum, built by Emperor Vespasian in 80 AD and opened by his son Titus with more than 100 days of games in which over 5,000 beasts were killed in the arena.

Walk along the Via Sacra as you cross Roman Forum, heart political, religious, and social of capital.
