A private van will pick you up directly from your hotel (pickup and drop-off) to take you to the Vatican gates where your licensed tour guide will be waiting for you. Upon arrival, skip the line and once you pass through security controls and receive your tickets, your guide will accompany you inside the Vatican Museums. You will visit major galleries and art pieces including Vatican Museum Cabinet of the Masks, The Gallery of Maps and Raphael rooms. As you admire the masterpieces, learn the stories behind acquisition of the art from your guide. Next stop is the magnificent Sistine Chapel (where silence must be observed and pictures are not allowed), your guide will take you through a detailed history and appreciation of the chapel's nuances. Spend a few minutes on a brief stop and conclude the tour by being taken back to your hotel via van. NOTE: (If the hotel you are staying at is not located in central Rome, you will have to pay an additional 75 euros because the van service is only provided for those staying in hotels in the city center).
