Know before you go

• The "Vatican evening tour" option will not include St. Peter's Basilica, as well as the "Sistine Chapel First Entry & Vatican Museums" option.
• During the high season, visitors must pass through airport-style security, which can take up to 30 minutes.
• The local partner tries to inform tour groups in advance of any scheduled interruptions to the Basilica's opening hours; however, refunds or discounts are not available in these instances. Occasionally, Saint Peter's Basilica may unexpectedly close for religious services, but if this happens, the local partner can provide an extended tour of the Vatican Museums.
• On Wednesdays, access to St Peter's Basilica is not possible until 1:00 PM due to the Papal Audiences.
