Live tour guide
At the place to meet, your welcome will come from a pro, certified tour guide who will add you to a small group with at most 15 people.
From here, this expert will skillfully take you through the complex entry of the museums so that you can relax without any worries.
As the tour begins, you will hear about the large Vatican Museums and their great collection of art and artifacts.
You will walk through many rooms full of Old Greek and Roman statues then step into the Map Gallery to find out how important history was for the Italian Peninsula.
After this, your guide will take you into the Tapestry Room so you can see close up the very fine details of these centuries-old hangings.
In the small, often congested rooms of the Raphael Rooms, your guide will point out the best views to help you appreciate some of Raphael's most famous frescoes.
Then prepare to be astonished by Michelangelo's ceiling fresco— a masterpiece of the Renaissance— and his Last Judgment on the wall of the chapel in Sistine Chapel.
To finish your tour, your guide will take you back to the exit of the museums and return you to where you started.
If by chance you visit on a day when there is access through a special door, your guide will take you into St.
Peter's Square and give you a short commentary about the Basilica; after which, you'll have an opportunity to go into the Basilica.
It should be noted that this special access door does not stay open at all times and we cannot guarantee that this will be the way of your exit.
