Full description

Mind the Basilica! On a religious note, visits can be suspended without notice if any religious activity is ongoing at the site. Missing the Basilica could be the case if you happen to plan your tour on a Vatican religious holiday. This express tour is an alternative way of appreciating the history and architectural magnificence of the state in place of visiting the Basilica. Our specially crafted Vatican Guided Tour Without Standing in Line has a team of passionate experts — developed over numerous seasons — eager to share their Vatican knowledge with you! Your small group tour becomes exclusive, especially during peak times when we take you through special museum and chapel entrances (bypassing the long queues that take hours) leading straight inside. After the guided tour culminates, you are free to explore St. Peter's Basilica at your own pace. However, do keep in mind that this basilica is a sacred place of worship — they might close it off to visitors for any religious ceremonies without prior warning. If your visit happens to fall on a day when the Vatican is celebrating a religious feast, you might unfortunately miss the chance to enter the Basilica.

Know before you go

  • St. Peter's Basilica usually features an additional entrance that allows visitors to move straight from the Sistine Chapel to the Basilica; however, it is advisable that you keep in mind this door may be closed at times due to factors beyond our control.
  • The Basilica is a place of sacred divine happenings that might withhold closure upon religious works without any forewarning— much like the Sistine Chapel; hence, if such is the case then you would not be able to access St. Peter’s Basilica using this ticket. But fret not: You shall receive a complimentary pass allowing entrance into St. Peter’s Basilica at your own disposal.
  • Typically, St. Peter's Basilica has a separate entrance so that guests can easily transition from the Sistine Chapel to the Basilica. Keep in mind though, there are occasions when this door may be shut for reasons that are out of our hands.
