Your experience

Your visit to the Vatican and Sistine Chapel begins with direct entry into the Vatican Museums, thus skipping any form of line.

You will see the Pinecone and Octagonal Courtyard among other things, not forgetting the Belvedere Torso.

Take a quick look at the coffins of Constantine in the Greek room as you stroll through the Round Room.

An articulate guide will escort you to tapestry featuring hallways filled with masterpieces of tapestries made by Pieter van Aelst’s School based on drawings from Raphael’s students.

And then go to Map Gallery where you can imagine 16th-century hand-painted maps covering an entire wall showing how people thought the world looked at that time.

You will next see the freshly restored Raphael Rooms which are sure to impress.

Here you will see The School of Athens, one of Raphael’s great works, and learn about the historic and modern figures he carefully placed into this painting.

Then you will head to one of the best parts of the tour – Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.

Stand in the middle of this huge 8,000 square feet work of art, surrounded by its beautiful paintings.

After visiting the chapel and its splendor, your tour guide will take you to your last stop, St.

Peter’s Basilica*, where you will get special access to the largest and most beautifully designed Catholic church in the world.

Inside the basilica, you will see one of its most stunning pieces of art: Michelangelo’s Pietà which shows Mary holding her dead son.

Another important masterpiece to see is Bernini's altar canopy made from an incredible 100,000 pounds of gilded bronze.

This large tour will show you a bit of the beauty of Vatican City and the art treasures it holds.

In the end, your guide will leave you inside St.
