Your experience

Meet at the tour office in Borgo Pio, one of Rome’s oldest quarters and not far from the Vatican itself.

Here, your tour guide will greet you.

After your introduction, with your guide start walking through delightful Borgo to get local shop suggestions on what to buy for Rome’s dining and sightseeing.

Begin your walk to the Sistine Chapel’s history before moving as a crowd through Via della Conciliazione to St.

Peter’s Square.

On your way, you are going to look at flags and embassies since this is the most direct avenue leading directly into St.

Peter’s Square.

Coming up, when you get there, St.

Peter’s Square is easy to spot with an Egyptian obelisk rising out of lines of columns and saints.

Hear how this square came to be and about the famous artist Bernini who drew it up.

Observe the lives of the inhabitants in the smallest city and listen to what goes on around you as the Swiss Guards snap into Renaissance uniform.

Then, walk rather slowly to the entrance of the museum where you will be told to join an exclusive “no line” group.

Walk through imposing Roman and Greek statues and galleries; the Tapestries Gallery and the Gallery of Maps.

View famous masterpieces by Michelangelo like Creation of Adam, Last Judgment at Sistine Chapel.

Great frescoes make figures pop out to tell lively stories ‘characters’ really do things in the ‘play’.

End your stay at Silent St.

Peter’s Basilica; visiting at St.

Peter’s Church One entrance, that’s what it’s all about, and you are to enter from the museum directly without standing in the long line outside in the square.

Any questions at all; ask your guide before you round off your experience!
