Meet your guide at the gate of the Vatican Museums, and you will be entering into a long description.
Entering the Vatican, despite being one of the smallest countries in the world with an uncountable number of museums whose value cannot easily be estimated, you must first look at the Belvedere and the Pigna (pinecone) Courtyard.
After this, see->the Picture Gallery contains an impressive collection with works by Giotto, Perugino, Leonardo, Caravaggio, Dali—to name just a few—an extraordinary selection that is difficult to express in a few lines! Then your guide leads you towards main exhibitions.
This tour part is 2 hours and includes an entrance ticket.
The second leg of the tour covers the must-see Sistine Chapel where Michelangelo painted not only his great ceiling but also another of his most appreciated works, The Last Judgment.
In addition to these are scenes decorated by some of the finest Italian artists-perugino, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, and several others.
It will indeed be an awesome experience to stand amidst such great works.
Duration: 30 minutes.
From April 28, the Sistine Chapel remains closed until there is a new pope.
The Vatican Museums will remain open with their usual hours.
