The popular Netflix series Emily in Paris is preparing to win over audiences again with its fifth season. Filming has officially started in Rome, Italy. The new installment of the U.S. TV series, which debuted in 2020 and was created by Darren Star (creator of Sex and the City, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Melrose Place), is expected to premiere in late 2025. It promises new adventures and, of course, plenty of glamour.

During a break from filming in Rome, the cast enjoyed a special experience: a private visit to the Vatican Museums. Lily Collins, the beloved star who plays Emily Cooper, took advantage of this opportunity to immerse herself in art and history with the rest of the cast, away from the production lights for a moment.

Collins later posted photos on social media to capture the emotions of this special visit and the bond between the actors. Photos show the entire cast smiling at the entrance to the Vatican Museums and a selfie of Lily Collins and Ashley Park (who plays Mindy in the series). There is also a photo of Lily alone, immersed in the majestic Gallery of Maps.

"Emily will have a presence in Rome," said Darren Star. "That doesn't mean she won't be in Paris, but she will also be in Rome." “The cast and crew of Emily in Paris are thrilled to begin filming season five in the Eternal City,” Star continued. "From Parisian rooftops to Roman ruins, we can't wait to share where Emily's next chapter will take us." Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), and Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello) will all return for the new season. However, more actors and actresses will join the cast.

After posting photos of her visit to the Vatican Museum, Lily Collins wrote, "What a special outing with my Emily in Paris family at the Vatican last night! What a dream. Thank you for such a magical tour."

"What a pleasure to welcome the wonderful Lily Collins and the Emily in Paris family to the Vatican Museums! Thank you for your gracious presence and for sharing the beauty of this special evening with the world."
